Third-Party Disclosure
This website is operated by an independent marketing service and is not owned or operated by a licensed asphalt paving contractor. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work. Our sole purpose is to connect homeowners with qualified local contractors in their area.
All contractors referred through this website are independent professionals. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that any hired contractor holds the necessary licenses, insurance, and bonding required by their state and local jurisdiction before any work begins.
All individuals depicted in photos or videos on this site are models or stock imagery and do not represent specific contractors available through this service.
By submitting a request through this website, you acknowledge that you are contacting a referral service and not a contracting company directly.
Not Professional Advice
The content on this site, including blog articles covering topics such as asphalt paving permits, local regulations, and best practices, is intended for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, legal, or regulatory advice. Always consult a licensed professional and your local authorities before undertaking any asphalt paving work that may require a permit or inspection.
Contractor Licensing
Illinois does not issue a state license for asphalt paving, but licensing here is set at the municipal level and many villages and cities do license or register paving contractors. Nothing on this website states or implies that any particular license or registration is held. Ask any contractor, including us, for whatever license or registration your own municipality requires, and verify it with that municipality before work begins. We describe ourselves as fully insured, which is what we are. Some cities and counties in your area operate their own registration or permitting requirements for paving, driveway aprons and curb cuts, and some work adjacent to paving, such as drainage structures tied into a public storm sewer, does require a separately licensed trade. Before any work begins, ask for proof of insurance and for any registration your jurisdiction requires.
Grading, Drainage and Engineering
We are paving contractors. We grade, prepare base, and pitch pavement so that water runs off it, and we describe that work as construction, not as engineering. We do not perform soil engineering, geotechnical investigation, bearing-capacity analysis, or stormwater design, and nothing on this site is a soils report, an engineering opinion, or a substitute for either. Where a project needs one, such as a structural retaining element, a detention requirement, or a tie-in to a public storm sewer, that is the work of a licensed professional engineer and a matter for your municipality, and we will say so when your project is one of those.
Estimates, Thickness and Pricing
Asphalt is measured and quoted on site. Any price shown on this website is an indicative starting range for a typical job, never a quotation and never a settled price per square foot; the figure that binds is the one in your written estimate. That estimate states compacted thickness and tonnage, and compacted thickness is not the same as loose thickness. Quantities, thickness, and price depend on measurement, base condition, access, and the asphalt plant's own pricing at the time of the work.
Warranties
Asphalt is a material, not a manufactured product, and it carries no manufacturer warranty. Any warranty we give covers our workmanship, for the period and on the terms set out in the written contract for your specific project. Nothing on this website is a warranty, and no work described here carries a lifetime warranty.
Sealcoating and Maintenance
We do not offer sealcoating. Where this site discusses it, including the advice that new asphalt should not be sealed during its first six to twelve months while it cures, that is general maintenance information and not an offer of service.
Permits and Utility Locates
Permitting for driveways, aprons, curb cuts, and paving varies from one municipality to the next, and some jurisdictions require none at all. We help you identify and navigate what applies at your address; we do not represent that we obtain every permit for every project. Utility locates are requested through the Illinois 811 one-call system before any excavation, as state law requires. Locates mark the position of participating operators' facilities only, and they do not mark privately owned lines such as irrigation, landscape lighting, invisible pet containment wiring, propane runs, or electrical supply to a detached structure. Tell us about any private lines on your property before work begins, because they cannot be located for you.
Insurance Claims
Where pavement damage may be covered, we can describe what we found and provide photographs and a written estimate that you may choose to give your insurer. We are not an insurance adjuster, public adjuster, or agent, and we do not act on your behalf with your insurance company. We make no representation that any claim will be approved or that any repair will be covered, and we do not waive, absorb, discount, or pay any part of a deductible. Ordinary wear, oxidation, and freeze-thaw deterioration of pavement are commonly excluded from property policies.
